Its interesting how things just kind of happen. After my dad died, I relied on several things that kept me going and fighting through the grief. I relied on listening to a lot of the songs that my dad loved, relied on picking up his Bible and looking through it, relied on writing poetry (which is a talent gift I got from my dad). I relied on those things to help me with the grieving. But now, since its going to be 2 years since he passed away in April, I find myself avoiding a lot of those things that once kept me going. Most especially with the music, and his Bible. That's just the whole entire book of my life that I dread like the plague opening because I don't want to get hit with the same emotions, the same pain. Every year that wound reopens for me.

Anyway, that's enough about my personal struggles. The piece is very well written and really thought provoking.
