Renunciation

Renunciation

A Poem by Siddhartha

What goes around comes around
To delight or to haunt
From what little I have seen of hate
It seeks a vengeance that love never hath
Where the seeker dies after the victim’s death

Love instead lives on nothing but itself
In its glory it champions, in its absence it ruinates
From what little I have felt of it
A tiny bit of it from each one of us
Is enough for this world to satiate
