The Chaotic Lullaby

I felt the touch of steel on my heart

The pounding as it was ripped apart

I swayed to the tune of the madman

As he drew his blade across my soul

The searing pain begotten in its wake

The torment of the now broken dreams

The flash of regret, an electric red

My mind in sync with his insanity now

As the red stains flowed down my body

My subconscious played an eerie melody

Which through fear reached a crescendo

I shut myself behind blood drenched morals

As the scars formed the seams of my armor

The blood, it formed a hard shell of pain

And shielded me from perils unknown

And rooted crimson, I stood tall
