That Love

That Love

A Poem by Silent Heart

She wanted to say goodbye.
She needed to say goodbye,
but she couldn't let go.

Let go of that love
that rattled her bones
and left her speechless.

That love that moved her world
and made her feel
like the universe belonged to her.

She loved it when
he would look into her eyes
and called her beautiful,
and when he would
trace her figure with his fingers
giving her spine the chills.

But she had to let it all go,
All those feelings and emotions,
she had to give them up.

For his love for her was no more
and even though his love was
nonexistent
She knew hers would remain
until the end of time.

Love lies bleeding - hard to step into her shoes here and to feel that feeling of not being able to do anything to change things and to know that the best she can wish for is an early release.

You did great. I think we've all experienced this 'have to let it go' feeling that is so hard to follow. Great job explaining this feeling!
