A PROPOSAL

If I could only touch your hand,

I would be in a position to touch your heart.

If you were at my side,

then you and I would never be apart.

 

If your lips I could kiss,

it would cause a halt in time.

If you allow me to know you,

we’ll be one and you’ll be mine.

 

If you open your heart to me,

your whole being I will understand.

If all these things will be,

all I ask is for your hand.
