Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Thanatos Darkraven

How I have longed for you

How I have missed thy presence

Thy comfort, thy peace, and thy company

For no better friend could I ask

When all others desert me,

Then do you make your appearance

 Your slience comforts me

When weary ears to you I bring

Unwanted questions ask ye not

And yet you already know my heart.

No comments or ill advice leave your lips

and you you provoke self searching thought.

Oh gentle and calm Solitude

How wonderful is your presence

How dear you are to my heart!

No mortal man could ever come close

To the love I share for thee.

None could ever know the peace

Your friendship bives my mind

No one can comfort me Like your embrace can

The time we share, you and I

Can be replaced by none

As long as you are here, Oh Solitude

There is none that I shall fear.
