Suspended Time

Suspended Time

A Poem by Silvia - Scribo, Ergo Sum!

Photobucket

The tower walls at midnight burn with fraught desire
Magic hour, time between time,
Time when gaunt shadows dance to strange, but so familiar tunes,
When there is no past, present or future,
Dream time, memory time - faceless and yet so real ...
I find myself waltzing along with the shadows, a shadow myself,
Led by the invisible arm of an unseen dancing partner.

We twist and turn and twirl and whirl
Leaps and pirouettes that leave me dizzy
Who is who ...
I am you and you are me, the age-old spin of human immortality

Forget who you are, forget what you want,
But don´t forget the link that grew me,
That travels deeply through me in the form of everything that I think,
The loathing and the love, bubbling together at the brink of my emotion.
This commotion started long before my face was edged into the wall of time.

I have both your madnesses inside,
Your greatness and your pain,
I am in constant disagreement with myself;
But I cannot leave me,
You both cannot leave me, nor one another, believe me.

I am the ring that won´t slip off with soap ...
I am with you, in you ...
even when you  will be long gone -
Safe in these magic hours of suspended time ...

PS: The Photo on top is lil Silvi ca. aged two ...
the second one of my parents on their wedding day in 1958
THIS summer they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary
