The growing season. That important time of year when we are producing much of our food. I love to pass farm fields in summer, just before the harvest to see for myself the corn ripening under the sun. Also to see orchards bursting with plentiful fruit. Even in my own garden, we grow strawberries. blueberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, salad potatoes and salad leaves. Sadly we have lost our fruit trees to disease. I miss our damsons, greengage and cherries very much. They are a beautiful memory. Spring is my favourite season and summer follows closely behind. Thank you Watercress.
