Teenagers !!

 

 

 

Widely talked about,

Highly misunderstood,

With new fears of the times ahead,

And fresh memories of childhood!

 

Imagination is boundless,

Urges are outrageous,

Teenagers are extremists,

Some meek, rest rampageous!

 

They see the world in black and white,

Missing out the shades of grey,

Life is either marvelous,

Or it is going astray….!

 

They border between tender and prime,

Is the edge where stand the teenagers,

Which is teeming with towering energies,

But fraught with risks and dangers!

 

They love to voice their opinions,

And long to be independent,

They rebel against their elders,

And express deep resentments!

 

All they need is someone thoughtful,

Someone who understands their plight,

Someone who values their ideas,

And leads them in their quest for right!

SO TRUE!!!!!!! I was JUST a teenager, well...wow....been nearly 2 years since I was one, lol! But it feels like yesterday. Ah so so so so true, great write...ending was amazing, and completely accurate!!

good poem, yeah teenagers are young fresh vibrant with energy.... yet i don't think so they rebel alone raising their voice in public unless they have similar gang behind them :)...
