Pretty Boy

Pretty Boy

A Poem by Danielle M Regalado
"

a song

"

Pretty boy... You summon the wicked smiles upon me.

My tinseled toy, sparkling eye before me...

Flustered conceit... I bow before you.

The king of thieves can’t live without you.

Once in a while I feel worth while, loved by a pretty boy living in denial.

Turn to the sky with a torch in the air, burn down the feeling, left nothing but despair.

Nothing but despair...

Terrified... you sprinkle glitter girls around me,

I’m dignified, and no other liars will find me.

You’re terrorized, by the psychotics that surround you,

Let you live? Those murderers can’t live without you.

Once in a while I feel worth while, loved by a pretty boy living in denial.

Turn to the sky with a torch in the air, burn down the feeling, left to nothing but despair..

Nothing but despair.....

Bring me down.. to your size.

I can’t feel you,

I am paralyzed.

Touch the flesh upon my bones..

Realize you’re alone.

As I fade into the night.

Signify the cruelty, you’ve destroyed me.

I’ve testified my reasoning, now abort me.

Too frightened, since you’ve been turned down again.

Crawl back to me? You’re better off dead.

Once in a while I feel worth while, loved by a pretty boy living in denial.

Turn to the sky with a torch in the air, burn down the feeling, left nothing but despair.

Nothing but despair....
