Darkest Hour

Darkest Hour

A Poem by registeredisaster

My goals were always clear and pure

Now mixed up and obscure

To you i give a hate like love

The look of a hawk to the whitest dove

On wings ever silent i came to you

And yet some how im torn in two

How did my plans go so wrong

Love was never in our song

I held you close and fought your fears

I was always there to wipe your tears

Part of the plan you fall in love

But not i for this white dove

I am from the darkest parts

While you are of the purest hearts

But somehow through my thick guise

You touched my heart im paraylzed

Perhaps i should give into fate

To turn back now is far to late

But no my true love calls to me

To rise in power is my destiny

Yet still your love does touck me deep

I am now in a befudled heap

Though still i must contine on

The sirens sing their sweet song

Love for you or love for power

I am now in my darkest hour

the language, meter and rhyme all feel forced into a form rather than allowing the poem to flow. if you use rhyme and meter, you have to craft it so that the text does not seem like it is being forced into the form you are using
