Roots of sorrow

Roots of sorrow

A Poem by slayerjay

cynical beats
on dark verses
critics turn to demons
and i ride their curses
burn the rubber
throttle for the stars
i aint no lover
only got love for the scars
b***h be like 'worship me'
b***h dont know
that part of me
now b***h be like
im sorry please
i said swallow first
then claim your peace,

the world is as harsh
as a mellow beat
so turn up the bass
and move your feet
overcome your needs
and be the wanted
take it all down
take it all for granted.

trespassing down a fantasy
i need to hit that s**t
chemicals calling,
my conscious stalling
i look to my feet
and my feet have fallen
sunk to my self pity
drowned in hate
cause society thinks
I should wait
but im curious
as everyday goes by
i need to make love
to know im alive
but all anyone cares
is what can i buy,
to get the blessings
i have to make a killing
and the only way to kill
is to make a living
but the way i want to live
is to love and love to the core
but even thats got a price
guess we are not wild anymore.

That is a very cynical perspective of life. I think you probably went through some rough times when you wrote this. It definitely was vivid; although, I didnt see it in color, maybe because of the mood. I think you should label it as mature though. Harsh language, sort of. Thanks for sharing. I hope you feel better soon.
