Let me down gently

Let me down gently

A Poem by slayerjay

Let me down gently
girl don't you know
that you don't even love me
let me go, out the door
and be free
yet you hold your head high
and dont let me down gently
i promise your memory
wont leave me resenting'
dont act senti,
 i know you are empty
like mentally bent in
and im sentimentally spent in
its tempting
as tempting
to go around attempting
to find love pretending
like go around fencing
diamonds in my basement
won't even let me chase them
cause all i have in my place
is your face,
hovering and every lover in me
cowering,
every atom sovereign
my body is a code
and in codeine i abode
as i hand up on the road
see my eyes redder than a stone
burnt, deeper than my bones
drugs have a lesser sting
what we share is a lesson in
not happening,
more reckless than a reckoning
