War Torn Soldier

War Torn Soldier

A Poem by Chance Sky
"

I wrote this in science class one time instead of doing chemistry home work. Because that's just how my brain likes to work.

"

Time goes fast but everything else goes slow,

When you have nowhere left to go,

The ache of 1000miles on your feet,

Scars that run dark but look skin deep.

With the world on your shoulders,

You march on a war torn soldier,

Sorrow raining down, pounding on your weathered brow,

Anger lighting up your sky, and you just wish to die.

But you march on with a smile on your face,

While inside you scream to fall into death’s embrace,

Because being alone,

Is worse than the kiss of death,

Than drawing your very last breath,

It’s a torture that destroys even the strongest soldier,

Please just fall my brother you needn’t go any longer

Chance Sky
It's not the best in the world, I know. But I like some of the lines in it and I hope you can find the same appreciation at least a little. Do critique!

About
Ahh I'm bad at these things, I find I always get off topic and ramble endlessly. So for your sake and to lessen my embarrassment I will try and keep this short and sweet. My name is Chance Sky, yes .. more..
