THE UNINVITED GUEST

THE UNINVITED GUEST

A Poem by Chrisjeey

Deep  Deep  in the woods sings the rulers,

As the wind knock-backs their closing twigs,

Sweet cool melody rubs through the ears,

With no rattles stand to take a breathe.

Deep deep in the woods  lies a rainbow grass,

On it stands  a smoky  cabin,

At its center  rests the blotchy mat,

And with a jiggle fells the steaming urn.

Deep deep in him lies a  dubious heart,

With much doubt peeks at her  trembling hands,

With great care he touch her silky skin,

In an awe-struck mind she jumps sploshing the mat,

Deep deep in her lies a dilemmatic war,

Hopefully praying the doorbell not to peal,

Still in the thoughts the unwanted happens,

With a fainéant walk she heads to the door.
