Night's Length

Night's Length

A Poem by SM Davis
"

or Knight perhaps...

"
For Knight...mine this night devine
my heart for thine does reminisce
fallen have I this eternal night mine
thy heart, thy words thy whispers miss

gentle breeze feel I no more for thee
bathe can I not nor hear falcon's wings
closeness proximate thy breath to me
yet no love on heated wind to me brings

torchure not this sourced soul this day
come to breathe a love sonnet thine
keep not passions spirit at bay
come to me retiled lover mine

and soar shall we through eternity...

yes perchance that was a lovely language suited the emotions here
night divine ,my heart for thine does call, fallen i have all through
your heart your words your whispers i wait and sigh
gentle breeze of no more use you are to me
cant even bathe nor hear birds wings
could feel you so close, your breath
yet no love ,no wind to me brings
its a torture to my soul
come to me lover of mine
that was so sweet and lovely..loved the language
this only needed a music, and we could sing it all along
lovely write..

This was an enjoyable read and lovely. I like the usage of old English or Middle English.

I love the flow and felt the subject matter was so gently touched upon, that one could apply mutiple meanings to how this affected them. I have a habit of trying to see a different meaning than what the author originally intended.

So beautifully expressive and tenderly spoken. You create for us another world... a passionate world I think a lot of people long for as an escape... Wonderful write!

Nice storycrafting here. The near lament and passion touched. In this style, meter, rhythm, and rhyme are very important. Fun read. Thanks!

Cheers!

You are great at mixing Shakespearian with your own style... true to yourself with a touch of the classic style... a magnificent description of true love.
