The Past of Ours

The Past of Ours

A Poem by Athina

It was late afternoon and I was making my day

‘Til I saw you staring at nothing in silent way

I felt conscious, ’what you see in that nothing it may?’

Is that the past that troubles you that’s not worth of pay?

The past of ours that is impossible to replay?

‘Til now I feel the pain, the regret that I left to you

But I know in my self that I’m still in love with you

And I’ll be loving you until the death of us two

But right this time why I am making myself a boo?

Is that the past of ours that I had caused unto you?

I had made myself cry but why I am now laughing?

Is that I became crazy that gives me this feeling?

Why do I believe that I am whom you are thinking?

But I want that it is me and I am still hoping

Because of the past of ours is still in me holding.

You suddenly saw me and now you’re in front of me

You hold my hands, you smiled at me but with tears I see

Now my heart bumps as I feel the essence of the air’s breeze

And then you looked at me and you told me a promise

“We’ll not lose each other again, never ever be.”
