A Mystery

A Mystery

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas

Nothing I say comes out right
I get tongue-tied when he smiles
I stutter with the sound of his voice
What secrets does he have to stun me like this?
All those nights we stay up
Having conversations 'bout nothing till midnight
I smile thinking of this feeling
A love foreseen with a bird's eye view
But is this real? Worth the fight?
Or just a silly puppy love this is?
Been a slave of my curiosity and desire?
Or a true warrior of love am I?
I'm dazed and confused
Oh Love ! Why are you a mystery?
