I wrote this, once when I was traveling in Train.....from Mumbai to Delhi... Had a chat with friend...and thought what if I could CLOSE all the OLD MEMORY LANES..!!

Getting in Traffic ?? Follow red light rule and Stop..!!

Wanna get out of communication ?? Switch off Mobile phone!!

Bored of reading Book ?? Close the book..!!


I wish there was an easy solution for
Stopping.... Switch Off and Closing Memory Lanes..!!

well just random thoughts..... because sometimes its sad to remember GOOD OLD Days.... As we can't have them back, so whatz the use of keeping all those Memory that hurt....

good thoughts, very true too, old memories are wonderful but regretful that they cant come back, closing them off would be terrible though, lovely poem, :-)

This made me think of people not connecting anymore. Too much technology, not enough time given to creating memories. Turn off the phones, get off the internet, don't eat in front of the tv, spend some time and get to know your loved ones again!

I love your use of contrasts over here- they were effective in highlighting how hard it is to literally "shut off" our memories- most of our treasured ones are short-lived, and none of them can ever come back
