A grand ship set sail

A poem about the Titanic

"
On April 13th, 1912, a grand ship set sail.
It was said to be “unsinkable.”
Over 2,000 people boarded the ship.
To say the ship may sink was unthinkable.

The captain of this great vessel was Edward Smith.
It was he who planned to sail across the Atlantic
The crew was excited to assist
With the delivery of the infamous Titanic

On April 15th, the unthinkable happened.
When an iceberg was struck, the crew began to panic.
Could it be that their fate was sealed
In the sinking of the great Titanic?

April 13th, 1912, the grand ship set sail.
It was said to be “unsinkable”
Over 2,000 people boarded the ship.
To say the ship may sink was unthinkable.

To say the ship may sink was unthinkable.

Well, I kinda liked it though I can't understand the importance of repeating the first stanza again, because it doesn't have a strong effect. Instead it leaves me confused..

Maybe you can construct the last stanza as something different, as being sarcastic ? ?
