A jangling hope. Lingering. Grinning maliciously at your rotting, bleeding corpse (for how could you bleed and rot simultaneously if not for love?), they promise... They swear - but - do they ever look at you internally? No. They only know vague feelings that could also be taken as a stomach virus.

Smiles. Sliced open faces and grinning, pale enamel glinting and reflecting your own feeble hope back at you. Foolish. A harlequin painted pink, red, black and blue for love. Dancing, dancing for some desired persons entertainment.

How can you claim love and just lose it? How can you claim a beating, bleeding heart and throw it away (things such as those are precious)? True love is not fleeting. Deep, passionate love takes and takes from you, so when the person loved is gone, theres a hole eternally in your heart with their name engraved.

Names. Dates. Pictures. Words. Touches.

A mind is a casket.
A heart is a tombstone.

They may be gone,
but they are not forgotten.
