finding your own "home"

finding your own "home"

A Poem by steph noumeh

a soldier fighting through the day

they order to "kill them" he must obey

for his country he must attack

he kept his pride, this warrior wore black

a homeless man dressed in rags

with his courage he never lags

praying to god all year round

he still had hope, this believer wore brown.

a young artist painting a sign

sending a message through a teens mind

to prevent from cancer, and doing what's right.

no more smoking, this angel wore white.

a human being, like you and me

had hope in life and wished for peace

desired a change and always wore blue

they all had confidence, so can you.

i like this poem alot because the colors describe all totally different people. and at the end the blue represents the goodd in the world and people. so its really detailed.

stanzas 1, 2, and 3 are my favorites. i think you chose perfect colors for what you wanted. this would also work well if you did it unrhymed because your message is really good.

damn steph... you wrote this? hahaha.. well its a really good poem, it explains a lot by just one color with one person... no complaints on this poem at all, its really good... the mood it sets on the reader is also good too...
