shrink

shrink

A Poem by solitare
"

Written in my youth when I suffered Anorexia... I still find myself reading these words often.... as I finally am finding the "Me I was born to be" :)

"
simple tears
never too painful or too free
only spontaneous
when I unshelter emotions
living deep within me.

a bruised imagination
and stifled abilities
are these insecurities the only reason
I seek to shrink to invisibility?

if I ever find an answer,
if I ever discover the truth
will this replenish unmasked feelings
and lead to my healing or a curing belief?

I only hope that once
I reach beyond all expectations
and my countless scars of fear and shame,
that there will be a way of living
the Me I was born to be.

emotional and sad yet hope appears towards the end, very personal write yet open enough to allow the reader to feel your feelings :)
