for amethyst eyes

for amethyst eyes

A Poem by solitare
"

Its said that 'eyes are the windows to the soul' ... here's wishing and hoping I find my soul mate's eyes...

"
My indigo irises
flamenco relentlessly
searching for kindred eyes
waiting to behold mine.
Blinking tears back
I cease to endure
more insipid grey eyes
which flicker futilely.
Insatiable for a violet gaze
with cascading lavish lashes
I romanticise
these eyes slowly uniting mine at sunrise
entwining again at dusk
ardently vivid by moonlight
before surrendering tender lids
softly to lavender dreams.
So I persist in my eternal quest
awaiting an amethyst aura
to convincingly colour blind me.
