Pilgrim

Pilgrim

A Poem by Soren

Our path

Never walked before

The road we take, hath

others trod afore

Yet we step on virgin ground

Each print's passage erased by waves of tears

The winds of time us surround

Through joy, sadness, or fears

Where we go

No one may lead or follow

What we suffer no man may know

And though these words be hollow

They are clear as glass

On this unmarked trail of women and men

We alone may pass

And this way never again

True, our own pathway is unique. Our own journey not to be repeated. However we can learn by looking at others on their journey and our own pathway can be influenced by their mistakes or indeed their triumphs. We can all make our own pathway a little easier to tread. Thanks Soren. Good to read you.

There is nothing new under the sun. But people don't view the commonality of the human experience within those parameters. Perhaps it might reveal our greatest enemy as ourselves if we did or expand our humanity exponentially. But we can certainly view history repeated and the same mistakes revisited in our species. That observation alone should give us pause. I enjoyed the read.

Hello Soren. I have always loved the un-walked path. I always found something wonderful and new.

I loved the above lines. Once I free-climbed the west coast mountains. I find amazing things. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
