In and outside

In and outside

A Poem by Soren

Like two trees planted together

For fifty years side by side

Leaning on each other in foul or fair weather

Together grown and now abide

Their roots entangled, now the same, find

Their differences put aside

Their branches interwoven and entwined

Two become one, in and outside

My husband and I have been married 57 years and your words describe how we both feel. (Their branches interwoven and entwined Two become one, in and outside) Thank you for this beautiful post. ~Sharon

Thank you so much for your kind words. Best wishes for many more years for you and your husband.
Perhaps this explains why when one partner in a very long marriage dies, the remaining spouse also passes within a few years.
