The tree of virtue sprouts from roots of generosity. Protected with bark of responsibility and self control its branches of honesty and integrity, covered with leaves of respect, and fairness flower in buds of charity and kindness
It produces fruits of love

Wow! What an amazing use of metaphor in this succinct poetic gem. I love how the poet compares virtue to a tree and how it produces its fruit's of love. Each of us is that tree in life and the fruits we produce may be bitter or sweet, only we can, through our behaviour, ensure our fruits are the sweetest. Superb Inking and wondrous analogy! It is a very long time since I read about Confucius, I must look that book up again, though I haven't seen it in a very long time, there is a possibility it went to the local charity shop with other books. I hope not, but... We take it for granted that everybody is both grateful and as a result are generous, but that, sadly, is not true... Thank you again for sharing, Soren.
