No sugar

No sugar

A Poem by Soren

You don’t see the strings on a puppet nowadays
Technology has made them invisible
Magic it brings, CGI is the craze
Cream in bitter coffee, indivisible

this very observant piece evokes thoughtfulness and wonder. you identify the recent changes in technology without judgement but nor without suspicion. yet like adding cream to coffee, these changes cannot be reversed. the title is also very telling. no sugar, just as the innovations do not bring sweetness into one's life. it is magic, a great spectacle that is hollow. it is a craze, those who adopt it don't really know what they're doing. despite all this, the persona remains stoic. prepared for the world without having any illusions about it.

Most welcome always, dear Soren...
Yes you are right Soren. New tech blind us to the real truth. I tried to tell the children. Seek and learn. Don't listen to the naysayers and liars. Good morning from Michigan and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
