                                                                  ORPHANED LOVERS

I exist yet alone and scared,

Feeling like a  Motherless child.

A pure soul lost in limbo with

Outstretched arms holding the void. 

Typed words are too silent

To accompany the echos

That scream in my mind.

The winter of silence has finally arrived.

I can no longer see our path, 

Where it began and where it all will end.

All that is visible is it's downward incline.

Our footsteps are buried under

The snowfall of lost dreams and promises.

The surrounding air cuts like ice.

We are like the sun engulfed in a cloudless sky

Fighting the bitterness of  harsh winter's winds.

The dance of the living, frozen only in time.

We must shed the weight of our burdensome dreams

And when our world  finally becomes silent,

Look for me in the deepest recess of your heart

For it is there I have taken refuge..untouched and content.

A love that ends always comes with many pains and emotions. I know how hard it is to have such a deep love and you watch it fall apart right before your eyes. Your soul deserves more than what this love could every provide so as hard as it is to move on, you are the better person for doing it. I'm sad for you to have to go through this but happy for you because you need this release and the ability to move on to the happiness that you deserve.

I have tried to exit this relationship for too long a time. Sometimes the other person has a hold and won't let you move forward or simply walk away. It is my time to be strong and just go, as hard as that departure is. Love can be an addiction and when you have two addicts it makes it even harder to separate and move on.

This sounds like love on the rocks, what a cold lonely feeling to watch things slip downward, so hard, the emotional clarity in this write is overwhelming, wonderfully expressed.

Thank you corset. I have had an awful case of writers block and wondered if I would ever return to write and post. seems I must overflow like a volcano with emotions before I am able to express what I feel in my heart.
