Non Fat, Zero Calorie Love

Inspired by a cobwebbed muse , A post by Chris titled Life and Serah's poem lessssssssss

NON FAT ZERO CALORIE LOVE

You were zero trans fat , no guilt

Low calorie , cholesterol free and less fat.

Just like the cardboard tasting popcorn 

that proclaimed to be delicious.

The chocolate that tasted like tree bark

And the tofu burger rolling on my tongue like a day old sponge.

All the hype of a well advertsed product

Falling short of it's claim.

In your absence, I ate a pint of Haagen Dazs

Smacked my lips with Godiva chocolate.

The sirloin tasted  so much better

Then turkey meat doused with fake gravy.

Thank you for being around just long enough

To show me the difference

Between false proclimations and the real deal.

I may have settled, if only for a moment.

To settle always means you're content with taking less than you aspire for.

Therefore, it must only be a temporary pause ..

Like sitting when you have to catch your breath

Before you embark on the next stride.

Running the  marathon of life

Is so much better without carrying your dead weight.

~ hahahahahahahahaha... damn... you shattered all the glass in my building and will wake up the neighbours because i'm laughing my guts out... :D ~ i'm so proud of myself (for partially triggering this piece)... it's so amazing with so much zest and zing... that i want to dig into a bucket of Haagen Dazs too... and i love these lines...

~ and the rest of course... but especially the last two lines... oh, that image of dead weight is so perfect... but the first twelve lines are making me crack up really badly... hahahaha... this is the most powerful ode to black humour i've read in a long, long time... oh, how i love this piece... hahahahaha... ~ you're pure dynamite... damn... i just can't stop laughing... :P

All because of you , of course and guess what ? I'm guilt free... so even if the High Brows of WC find it totally incoherent, we know the taste and zest of black humour.

~ awesome, awesome... guilt-free is way better than fat-free... you proved it so beautifully... ~ if the high brows of WC don't have a sense of humour, they're missing a treat... this poem of yours is as delicious as dark chocolate... but one needs to have black humour cells buzzing in one's brain to "get" it... :D

Kicking to the curb and not looking back!

At first, I figured you found some of my old diet. Bland and cardboard I was very familiar with until I started working things out on my own. I just haven't figured out how to do it without the carbs.
Then you changed your diet and sent the world on a tilting spin. Good for you! I can see a satisfied smile about this one.
Great write! Even well "advertised" might not be all they "advertise" themselves to be.

we all know that what tastes the best isn't necessarily good for us. The carbs are definatly the high of the roller coaster. I'm just glad to be back on WC and taking inspiration from my fellow writers. Sometimes the dreaded writer's block does more to defeat my self esteem than any one person can ever achieve. You, my friend seem to have an endlessly creative mind and could write the alphabet and make it sound intriquing. I am so glad to be back reading your pieces as well as the friends I have met on this site. Thanks for all your support and kind words even when I'm writing black humour.
