Welcome Death

Welcome Death

A Poem by Surya pradha
"

the fear of death is greater than death itself...

"
withered leaves, t'was so plush,
stripped canopies, once merry mush,
the light of life, very faint,
everything gone, only darkness remains.

the tilted hourglass, empty now,
time to take your final vow,
a last, shaky, wheezy breath,
extinguished by the hands of death.

the ever victorious conqueror awaits,
none have bettered, none can evade
but, my dear, never fight,
just surrender, it'll be all right.

flood yourself with memories,
the beauty of life, you will see
close your eyes and you'll believe
death is the start of another eve.

burnt to ashes, your body may rot,
but the thought of you will definitely not
your spirit, your soul will always remain
never forgotten nor in vain

welcome death, tis not the end
only the beginning, my merry friend,
let it come when it must
go and get back your life's lost lust!

This is certainly different from what I have read from you... the imagery is also good and the flow is there but since you write in meter and rhyme, the meter is shaky.. but I don't think it would affect my opinion as I do not practice it..
Good write..

glad you liked it. thnx for the appreciation!
According to Hindu mythology, soul never dies. It is body that dies and soul leaves its old and tattered clothes for wearing a new one. Its journey is simple from one body to the other. What chages is the only body of different human beings from insect to man. Death is only the gate to transfer soul into another body. As birth is painful so also death has some stroke yet the ultimate purpose is successful.
In this poem you clearly show your treatment with this universal truth that death shall come and we have to suffer its stroke. So it is better to be bold and being positive should accept the absolute reality.
The lively description of this event is drawn pictorially. Each and every echo the wonderful meaning to tell meaninglessness of bemoning at time of death because all the things will renew all that was with departing soul...
Thanks for sharing so nice a poem...
