"It Was Just A Moment of Nostalgia"/ The Blank Verse Ends Here

A Poem by Alexandra

We drove around Route 22
To finally end this charade for the past year
I gave you the last bit I had left of me
Before, you walked out so arrogantly

"Like the world had no weight on your shoulders"

But, this child of mine is weighing
And, i know now absolutely nothing will bring you back home
Wherever you go will always be the only and best route for you
And though, I love you dearly:

I hope we never cross paths again.

And I'll sing "Hello Euphoria" at night
With my child in my arms
And tell them about a man so strong
Yet, so prideful
Became the biggest musician of our time
