I gotta know

I gotta know

A Poem by Erin Adams
"

.

"

The nights are cold and lonely here without you

The Sun Comes up

The Days just drift on by

I'm passing all these moments here without you

I'm holding on

But I still don't know why

Why did you leave?

Where did you go?

I need the answers

I gotta know

Were ya killing time?

Here with me?

Am I even a memory?

I gotta know

This old house just feels empty here without you

I go to bed

And cry myself to sleep

I don't know how I'll ever get by without you

All those promises

You never meant to keep

Why did you leave?

Where did you go?

I need the answers

I gotta know

Were ya killing time

Here with me?

Am I even a memory?

I gotta know

I gotta know why you gotta know ?
In the last poem you denounced the bum,
you told the world exactly what kind of a
creep he is-----Now you gotta know !
You already know. You made a poor choice.
Now here is what you gotta know. He`s a bum.
Maybe a mental problem and he is sick of you.
Move on, find a human being and forget this
excuse for a man ever existed.
Sorry..... There are just too many of these
stories and poems------I lost it.
You write very well. Please write about
something.

The worst is always the not knowing.

This was just what I needed Erin.
Wonderful writing!

This is awesome. I agree--this sounds very musical. I imagined a guitar playing along. The repetition reminds me of a villanelle.
