Conscience

Conscience

A Poem by STAR
"

This poem is about when I was really depressed and I was trying to get over cutting. The way it is written is my conscience talking to me.

"

Conscience

Do your thoughts still haunt you darling?

Seeping out of your eyes and replaying in your mind.

Each memory holding a place on your body where you've severed the skin.

Was the pain really worth it?

Did the blood running down your side seem to heal you?

You seem to let these things get the best of you.

The past doesn't just fade away.

You can block out the thoughts with the things that bring joy to your life... but your ignorant and immature mind wants you to run back to the knife.

Now it's time for you to live and forgive.

Don't keep running back to those vibes or your mind will eat you alive.
