the perfect man

the perfect man

A Poem by starmozie

            he was perfect.

he said all the right things,

he made her laugh.

his smile could light up a room.

perfect.

everything she loved ,

he did too

perfect.

they spent hours on the phone,

getting to know all their deepest secrets

and wildest dreams.

on a sunny, warm spring day, she sat in his perfect car,

as he drove to the perfect spot.

quiet, he said, for their perfect date.

They walked along the trail .

He pulled her to him, "youre perfect" he whispered ,

 Then why?

Why is she lying on the cold, hard ground,

broken, staring

In a perfectly secluded spot,

While her life slowly seeps

out of every perfectly calculated wound.

her eyes close, her breath,

shallow.

her last thoughts

of the perfect man

she met online.
