Break the Chains

Break the Chains

A Poem by C.K.Simons

For sixteen years
You just watched
With little time
Left on the clock

You had ten years
To make your move
Please act soon
Or you will loose

You hear the song
You know the words
You have the same
Favorite verse

You sing together
But know it sounds
Like tin cans
Scrape concrete ground

You love the sound
But it is pain
Not all attemps
Were in vain

Admit you love him
Ignore the pain
Let love guide you
Break the chains

Tell him you do
Confusion fades
Let love guide you
Break the chains
