Love Under the Cherry Tree

Love Under the Cherry Tree

  Feel the scented breeze
 drifting off the trees.
 The whippoorwill sings our tune.
 Beaming stars hang low
 lovers stand aglow
 with the full crescent moon.

 Cherry petals fall.
 Crickets give a call,
 sounds that enhances the mood.
 Passion brings solace
 To love that's flawless.
Whispers in the dark is subdued.

 Sliver sea gleams light,
 their future feels bright.
 Passionate words spark desire.
 Laughter fuels their bliss.
 With one single kiss
 hearts pulsate a burning fire.

 Together makes sense.
 Lust burns like incense,
 binding them forevermore.
 Vows were made that night,
 and their life took flight.
 Each other they will adore.

Your poem is a beautiful and romantic piece that captures the essence of love and passion. The way you use vivid and evocative imagery to describe the setting and the emotions of the lovers creates a powerful and captivating scene that draws the reader in and captures their imagination. I was particularly struck by the way you use the metaphor of the cherry petals falling to explore the fleeting nature of love and the beauty of the moment. The way you weave together themes of beauty, passion, and commitment creates a powerful and moving poem that lingers in the mind long after the reading is done.

Lovers under a full crescent moon, so romantic, in love; when the rickets give a call, it's time for passionate embraces; love goes with laughter and their future is bright..they are entwined forever.
Nice write.

Thank you!
I like the way the image at the top of the poem creates a canopy. Like the poem is sitting under it inviting the reader to rest their eyes there for a moment. And with the good rhyme it's an easy rest. Until the pulse quickens as the story progresses and their revealed love undresses!

Truly magnificent. I had shivers reading this as if a breeze were passing by while I stood under the tree. Your words transported me to that moment you described so well and I could picture my lover and I
