Four Seasons

Four Seasons

A Poem by KAREN
"

Missing the one you love!

"

In the spring I miss you,

thats when you brought me flowers

I can smell the scent of them right now,

the memory fresh in my mind

In the summer I feel hatred in my heart,

thats when I woke to an empty bed

you left me and I never saw you again,

until that dreadful day I saw you with her

In the fall I think of all the changes I've  gone through

I wish you would have changed,

you wished I would have changed

neither one of us did

In the winter I'm lonely without you,

the warmth of your arms around me

I feel dead inside

you left me all alone and empty!

Its always easier for the person who leaves then it is for the person left behind. I like the healing process you started to dive into as the seasons past. It's hard to recover from love when it leaves you flat. I can feel it in this one, you did a good write.

very strong emotions are captured here. just as a quick note in the last stanza you said "I'v" haha I think you meant "I've" I love writing poetry but I HATE grammar and punctuation lol. I really like how you draw back on seasons to show the progression of your relationship with this person.
