Hello

Hello

A Poem by KAREN
"

When you're afraid to talk to someone!

"

Hello,

you don't know me,

but I wish you did

my heart will be unsatisfied

until I make myself known to you

Hello,

one simple word,

but I'm unable to speak when I see you

my legs fail to move, they want obey

all I can do is stare

Hello,

you're so handsome

your dimples make me smile

our bodies  would fit together like a puzzle

the sound of your voice is like  music to my ears

Hello,

I know you see me staring,

the want in my eyes does not lie

Do you feel the same?

Do you want me too?

Hello,

I close my eyes and I see you

we're arm in arm,

your lips teasing mine

you're undressing me with your eyes

Hello,

one simple word I have decided to say

all you can do is turn me away

I put one foot in front of the other

as I near you I realize I can't do it

Tears streams down my freckled face,

I turn to walk away

I feel the warmth of a hand on my shoulder

I turn around, then I hear one simple word

"Hello"

ah you penned this moment of anxiety/anticipation and the exhale of relief very well...nicely done...

Lovely!! I think it captures the anxiety of that first encounter perfectly - even with the relief afterward when we realize that it wasn't that bad to begin with. Nicely done!

Love it,
feeling of such anxiety, and then like a sigh of relief at the end.
Great ending

Your words sink deep into the heart and mind, those feelings of restless wonder, waiting to see if a connection is made. There is a depth of expression here, the sense of anxiety, and the great joy of that simple touch.. and that one word.. Exceptional!

A very good poem. Sometime we must reach out with a smile to open a new door. I like the description and the happy ending. A excellent poem. You told a very good story of hope and desire.

I like stir up alot of different feelings associated with the word hello. Everything from longing and anxiety to affectionate and infatuation and wonder to passion and courage and confidence to sudden anxiety and insecurity to paralyzing fear then shame and heart ache to sudden alliviation with joy and warmth and tenderness. Nice write-- very creative.
