Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

A Poem by storiestotell

For the creative poetry group!

She lays on a bed of nonexistent dreams,

watches the pendulum move back and forth.

Sliver moon shines reflective memories

across her weary face.

Hypnos flies over head,

leaving a feeling of cosmos.

She fades into a hypnotic state

as mysterious eyes peer down.

Slumber finally drifts in on

a midnight breeze.

A lovely sentiment. No it is more like a beautiful dream that I linger in.

Dreamy! It's such a light and mystical type of poem with a whimsical flare that is just so very appealing to the senses. Totally delightful to read!

I love this tale of Hypnos and how mysterious and magical dreams and slumber can be. We as people know very little about sleep.
