Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

A Poem by KAREN
"

For the creative poetry group!

"

She lays on a bed of nonexistent dreams,

watches the pendulum move back and forth.

Sliver moon shines reflective memories

across her weary face.

Hypnos flies over head,

leaving a feeling of cosmos.

She fades into a hypnotic state

as mysterious eyes peer down.

Slumber finally drifts in on

a midnight breeze.

Love the refreshing sense I get from the words, mixed with inner sadness :)

This is a hypnotic poem, as I was pulled in all the way to the peaceful ending.
Nicely done!
