Ode To A Geode

Ode To A Geode

A Poem by Shauna

Lovely geode

Silly jewel-coffin

Hoarding your prisms away

You brim with pretty jagged things

And supernova fantasies

Galaxies agonize within

Clustering

Scraping at their diamond walls

This tinsel load may split you in seven

Spilling iridescent intestines

And hung up to dry

You’ll drip spectrums on their laps

That they won’t notice at all
