The saints agree: sinners are not saints ,but can become saints by stopping sinning :-

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Jesus says he will not take any sinners at his return :-Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Paul says :-
Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

A saint is someone who has STOPPED sinning , anyone who continues to sin is a sinner and still following the devil as John says ... one cannot obey Jesus and love AND obey Satan and sin !

Jesus stated his commandment to love ... sin is breaking that commandment , sin is any unlovingness to anyone ... if one is unloving, if one is a sinner, then Jesus is not one's lord since one does not obey him... a lord is someone one obeys!

The scripture could not be clearer, one is either a sinner following Satan or a saint following Christ, there is no sin in saints and no righteousness in sinners :-

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Saints will not claim they are saints because that it God's call, not theirs, and they would sin by saying they are saints , but that does not mean any sinner is a saint, quite the reverse, saints cannot sin else they are no longer saints...

The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father,
[thus 'original sin' doctrine is false]
neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:
the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him,
and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins
that he hath committed,
and keep all my statutes,
and do that which is lawful and right,
he shall surely live,
he shall not die.
All his transgressions that he hath committed,
they shall not be mentioned unto him:

in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?
saith the Lord GOD:
and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness,
and committeth iniquity,
and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live?
All his righteousness that he hath done
shall not be mentioned:

in his trespass that he hath trespassed,
and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
[Ezek 18 :20-24]
