False Front

False Front

A Poem by Katie B
"

A poem about how what is under the surface is not always the same as what we see

"

Fearing loneliness, what a crazy thing!

(It's the insane asylum for me.)

It's a preference.

(Ha more like an obligation.)

Really who needs companionship?

(I do.)

Definitely not me.

(Did you hear me? I need it.)

That table in the corner,

(Great, I'll just hide myself.)

Seats just one.

(In theory every table can seat one.)

It's perfect!

(I just need to keep telling myself that.)

Waiter, please remove the other chair.

(Waiter, really I'm not a big loser.)

The world passes on by.

(And I just stand there.)

Who cares?

(Have you been listening, I care!)

It's a fast paced world.

(Why do I feel the need to justify?)

I was glad to get off.

(Who am I kidding, I'm so lonely.)

Hm... like how you transition from putting up a front and actually saying how it really feels inside or what you're truly thinking.

Keep it up =D
