The Devil's Son

The Devil's Son

A Poem by streetrose

I fell in love with the Devil’s son

But I didn’t know it then

He left me with nowhere to run

Then brought my life to an end

I fell in love with the Devil’s own

He broke my heart in twine

Gifted me with a heart of stone

And lingered in my mind

The Devil’s spawn has broken my heart

And stolen all the shards

Running ‘til death did us part

Then leaving me to fall hard

The Devil’s son abandoned me

With nary a goodbye

The heart of stone still shimmering

Like the fire in his eyes

I collected all my pieces

Though it horrified me to see

Whether I knew it then or not

That heart of stone belonged in me

Woah, awesome! It has really good flow, and I like the vocabulary you chose. I can't find any criticism, it was very well done. Loved it!
