Woman, Mans Equal

Woman, Mans Equal

A Poem by Iota

I love the way you move

your body transcends time

like endless flowing water

you are natures joyous music

I stare at you always

an abyss of beauty

captivating with skin

as pure as snow ivory

woman, mans equal

you silence my heart

and give life to my thoughts

when I think, it is only of you

domineering, your presence in me

without you, I am less than

the dirt beneath your feet

trample me, I’ll love you still

let me go, I’ll vanish into thin air

hold me and watch

heaven and earth realign

kiss me and feel

all earthly evil disappear

have sex with me

watch this boy become a man

make love with me

and speak in tongues

of unknown origins

stay with me and learn love

for what it was meant to be

loving you is greater

than the totality of me

lota, this is very romantic. It is erotic just enough.. or i should say, it has just the right amount of sensuality. It is so good to read this coming from a MAN ... as many do not consider women equal.. this verse i love love!!

"without you, I am less than

the dirt beneath your feet

trample me, I’ll love you still

let me go, I’ll vanish into thin air"

So sweet and loving!

Lota: This work is involved and yet it moves smoothly. I felt the rhyme could have been more inviting but it does not take away from the overall work. It is very hard to speak of love without emotion and you have done it very well. I do not like the reference to dirt between the toes but again it does not take away from the overview and where you want to take us. At any extent that is my view and it should not change your type of imige. In an old comment it is a statement of an Oximoron type. Like Military Inteligence of which there is none. I like your closing verse very much and whould like to think the lady that you have writen this about is your true love. Great job.

The last stanza was perfect, but my favorite stanza was
"hold me and watch
heaven and earth realign
kiss me and feel
all earthly evil disappear" . As if love could make everything all right in this crazy world. :)
