City of bridges

Guard rails under the

overpass: homeless welcome

but not to stay

Bathrooms for

customers only. No camping.

One shoe hangs

on a telephone wire

Two shoes

in a tree. Matching


Snow & Freezing


A bag forgotten by

the tracks

Spray paint frown


Ask For Change

Do Report Suspicious Objects Or


Accel e    r.        A.        T.                I.                   O.                     N

You are required to move

for Seniors and people

with Disabilities

Shopping cart

shipwrecked in a snow drift

One shoe

on the bike path

and another

shopping cart

Tent pitched in

a snow drift

and another shopping


Motionless in a sleeping bag

and another

shopping cart

Froze to death

and another

shopping cart

public art

to balance the

The imagery You use in this poem is very powerful... I can see all of the things you are presenting in this poem, almost like a slap to the face. I really like this!
