Disconsolate Cosmos

Disconsolate Cosmos

A Poem by CBH
"

Actually a derivative from "The world is too much with us" by William Wordsworth.

"

It seems that halcyon life takes place at home

Where is home?

The factory, of course,

The verisimilitude thought

Plaguing heads

Heads not where they ought to be

The sun beckons you

Winds are calling

Return to your true landscape once more.

Trees seem lugubrious from afar

but please

come closer

Find your true consanguineous roots.

I wrote this for a journal option in my lit class. Anyone familiar with Wordsworth?
