Questions From a Mother-to-Be

Questions From a Mother-to-Be

A Poem by Susanna F
"

Just some thoughts since I'm expecting my second child.

"

Who are you, baby? Who will you be?

More like your daddy or more like me?

Will you be sensitive? Will you be strong?

Will you be stubborn when you’re wrong?

Will you be outspoken or tactful and kind?

Will you be literal or creative of mind?

Will you be a realist, idealist, materialist?

Will you be religious " symbolic or literalist?

Will we get along in your teen years and later?

Will you be a writer, a teacher, a waiter?

I wonder how much pain and pride you will cause "

Will you marry wisely? Will you break laws?

As your parents we can only do our best

Your choices and chances will do the rest

But this I know, whoever you will be

You’ll always be a part of me.

A beautiful, tender love flows through your words... and makes me hope you'll frame this for your precious one. No heart can compare to the heart of a mother. :)
