Fury

Fury

A Poem by Susanna F

Is it too much to ask

For a word of explanation?

What use are your hugs and kisses

When I don’t know what went wrong?

Can you defend a temper

So often overused

Though I would never mistreat you?

Though I have never mistreated you?

It’s not me you’re angry at

But I’m the one who’s hurt

I have nothing left but your kindness to me

And I watch it burn in inexplicable fury.

Your words dripped with a silent reproach that I know many have felt before. This was a disheartening, but beautiful read.

I enjoyed this becuase, it went right to the source of the inequality and miss-communication at the source of so many relationships.

Best line for me was:

1. I have nothing left but your kindness to me
